Parent Governor Recruitment Documentation

Please find below, application paperwork for the role of Parent Governor at Benjamin Britten School. 

Please note, you may apply to become a Parent Governor if you have a child in any year group at the school. Although the term of office is for four years, your child does not have to be at the school for a further four years in order for you to sustain the position, they just need to be at the school at the time of you applying to become a Governor.

As a parent governor, your role is:

Local Governing Body meetings take place three times a year. Inbetween these meetings, there will be opportunities for you to support the school in further business such as school improvement plans, recruitment of staff and recognition of pupil achievement. You will be asked to undertake safeguarding training, and will be given opportunities to undertake further training if desired.

Paper copies of the application paperwork are available from the main school office upon request.
